Xaris Energy has developed and packaged the WBPP project to ensure significant cost savings, superior performance, and reduced environmental impact compared to traditional fossil fuel plants.
Xaris comprises experienced local and international players that together provide an end-to-end power solution, from the equity financing for the construction and commissioning of the plant through to the supply of liquefied natural gas as feedstock and the ongoing operation of the plant.
The equity owners of the power plant are Xaris Holdings, potential players such as the Ariya Capital Group, and FGK Investments. The latter is a Namibian consortium representing a broad base of Namibians through community and education trusts.
Xaris Energy has worked closely with Namibian entities to ensure the WBPP brings maximum benefit to the area of Walvis Bay and its people. We are proud to be supported by the Walvis Bay Municipality and Namport.
Each partner brings unique expertise to the project and has made firm commitments to play their part in bringing it to fruition.
The WBPP is supported by world-class Engineering, Financial and Legal advisory experts in the energy and infrastructure fields. Xaris Energy will also work with leading OEM and EPC companies to bring the plant to life.
